Making snacks a little healthier by making them

Guest post written by Lisa Lawrence

I read recently that a lot of the time the dishes that you prepare for yourself at home are healthier than the ones you can eat in a restaurant. I guess that means that they add all kinds of bad-for-you stuff to restaurant dishes to make them taste a whole lot better. It makes sense when you think about it. So I thought that maybe it would be the same way for snacks and appetizers that you get in restaurants. And I do love my appetizers.

I was thinking about that one day when I was at work last week, when I decided I would try and make my favorite appetizer, hummus, myself at home. I looked online for the perfect hummus recipe and during my search I saw some info on Credit card debt counseling and after I looked through it a little bit I decided that I could really use that help. So I’m going to take it.

I’ve never attempted making hummus before. But it can’t be that hard because you basically just mash up a bunch of stuff, right? I’m going to attempt it and see how it goes and tastes. Maybe I’ll make some pita chips to go along with it too.
