Countrywide can be extremely slow in responding to homeowners in default. To get things completed, it’s important to gather a good list of Countrywide contacts. If you’re not getting the answers you’re looking for, have the homeowner put together a QWR (Qualified Written Request) letter to the lender and have the homeowner demand the following:
Have the homeowner send this request via certified mail and request “return recepit required” to at least 3 of the addresses supplied below. If you didn’t get a response from the loss mitigation department, you may get a response now.
