Decorating a bathroom includes choosing colors for not only the walls, but the tiles, accessories, faucets, towels, plants and pictures. Traditional bathroom colors are neutral that can be easily worked with by choosing different tones for accent colors, bathroom rugs, and shower curtains. Crisp white bathrooms will provide a light tranquil setting and make it feel quite relaxing and have a little bit of a spa like feel.
For those that like “elite” decor in their bathrooms, may choose gold or taupe paint colors. Bathtubs with black exteriors and bisque interiors and brass faucets can compliment a very royal bathroom theme. Although, for many, creamy white bathrooms with added blues and greens is quite a popular accent favorite.
Towels and shower curtains can bring together the bathroom and if you want to heighten the room, choosing a nice chandelier or getting crown molding.
If you are living in a rented apartment and cannot change the color of the tiles, use accessories to add accent colors. Make sure to pay attention to highlighting the colors you do like and downplaying the ones you do not like. Try to avoid dark colors in bathrooms that do not get enough natural light or good enough artifical light to compensate for the dim setting.
