So, moving has actually been a lot easier than I anticipated, for my husband and me anyways. My three kids, well, let’s just say we’re still trying to help them adjust. It’s funny how little ones become such creatures of habit. As if moving from our old house to a new house wasn’t hard enough for them, their poor little bodies haven’t seemed to adjust to our new time zone either. And getting up two hours earlier in the morning because they don’t realize its only 5:00 AM makes for one really tired mama. You would think that because of this, the little stinkers would be worn out and ready for bed 2 hours earlier, but that’s not the case. Oh well! Looking on the bright side, it gives me 2 more hours to unpack and get the little luxuries like cable and internet hooked up so we can be connected again. Luckily several people that my husband works with told us we had to look at satellitestarinternet.com because they had excellent prices. Thank goodness we liked what we saw and were able to get hooked up in no time so we’re back in touch with the world again…even though we’re thousands of miles from our old lives.

Thank goodness we have so many direct tv channels because last week I had the flu. My husband kept telling me that I needed to get the flu shot and I kept putting it off like an idiot. I just never found the time to drop by the pharmacy and get the shot. I really paid for it last week because I was so sick. I literally couldn’t move from the bed. I only got out of the bed if I was feeling nauseated or had to go to the bathroom. I haven’t been that sick in a long time. The doctor even made a house call. I was confined to the bed and didn’t feel like doing anything. I didn’t even feel like catching up to work e-mails. I did feel like doing anything but watching television. I watched everything from “the View” to “Law and Order : Special Victims Unit” marathon. If we didn’t have all of those television channels I wouldn’t just be in bed really sick, I would be in bed really sick and really bored.

Now that we have all four kids out of the house, out of college, and married, my husband and I finally have built our dream house. I’ve literally spent years dreaming of this house, but when you’re raising four kids, their needs always come first. We decided to build on Lake Lanier because it’s not too far from my job, and we’ll still be able to enjoy living on water-front property. As we built the house, our budget kept getting bigger and bigger. We’ve used almost all of our nest egg to build it, but that’s what it’s for, right? After we decided to buy new furniture, since I couldn’t stand the thought of our twenty year old furniture being in this brand new house, we decided to add a security system. My husband found one he liked at HTTP://AllhomeSecurity.com. It seems kind of silly to have a house at the lake with a security system, but these days, I don’t trust anybody. We’ll be moving into the house in two weeks, and I couldn’t be more excited!

How to take care of your credit is a big question to ask.  If only there was a class in college that schooled us on balancing expenditures with income.  Unfortunately when everything is getting more expensive on a stretched wallet, the only way to get the best interest rates is to have a good credit rating.  Having a great rating over time can keep your expenses lower.  There are places that you can go for help like RepairMyCreditNow – aka: rmcn (check out their youtube rmcn video). Services that help with credit can get you on the right track, but be careful of any additional or surprisingly fees.  You don’t want to end up paying more in the end.  Ask lots of questions!

There are quite a few places to shop online, but I’m always looking for the best deal which includes shipping fees, discount codes and return policies in case the items are delivered damaged and I need a replacement.  If you know of a few, let me know.   I’m also in the market for an extra wide pet gate for when my husband finally buys a chocolate colored Labrador and I’ll need to reserve an area for the house to be left untouched and a place for myself!

Mobile units range in client type, need and cost requirements.  From commercial offices and on-site construction buildings, there is a variety of needs to be met in terms of appearance, look and feel. The design of modular buildings has come a long way in the past decade and now there are custom buildings that look VERY much like brick and mortar type of buildings. Upon playing with the site search for local properties for sale, I was disappointed that the site had few listings, especially with the number of REOs and foreclosures homes for sale present in the marketplace.  The site does a good job with displaying images, along with details of the purchase and school finder map for families.  Although, I think a link to greatschools.net would be a great addition to the site to beef up the school finder section.  Including a listing of most popular properties viewed, or the areas with the most properties (i.e. California REO properties section).

I tried to find some information on how payments and financing are taken care of…but didn’t easily find it.  I think it would be good idea to add a “How to Bid” section or highly visible “FAQ” section, along with a mention on fees involved, if any.
