An interesting website service has surfaced to my attention. Imagine not setting a price on your home and selling it instead via an online auction site to receive the best bid. Reminds you a little bit of eBay, right? Well, not to burst any hopes of playing with the site to sell your home. GoHoming.com only sells REO properties (banked owned REO properties).
Upon playing with the site search for local properties for sale, I was disappointed that the site had few listings, especially with the number of REOs and foreclosures homes for sale present in the marketplace. The site does a good job with displaying images, along with details of the purchase and school finder map for families. Although, I think a link to greatschools.net would be a great addition to the site to beef up the school finder section. Including a listing of most popular properties viewed, or the areas with the most properties (i.e. California REO properties section).
I tried to find some information on how payments and financing are taken care of…but didn’t easily find it. I think it would be good idea to add a “How to Bid” section or highly visible “FAQ” section, along with a mention on fees involved, if any.
